AYG had an amazing first day of practice at the Plaza Shala.
Before sharing some of my impressions, let me start with a dad joke:
How many Ashtangis can you fit in a selfie?
At least 40!
Thanks to everyone who was there—whether in body or spirit.
One of the best parts of Ashtanga yoga is the sense of community it creates. While it’s true that we can all practice on our own, there’s something truly special about practicing together. The energy in the room is palpable, and the shared experience strengthens our connection to each other. It’s as if the practice becomes more powerful when we come together.
But it’s not just about the time on the mat. The conversations that happen outside the yoga room can be just as meaningful. Whether it’s a quick chat about an asana or a deep conversation about life’s journey, these moments help form lasting bonds and build our community. Sometimes, it’s just a smile or a nod that makes someone feel welcomed and valued.
As much as we love the Ashtanga practice, it’s the sense of community that keeps us coming back. It’s the friendships, the encouragement, and the support that create a truly unique experience.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first day of practice. We’re excited to continue this journey with you. If you missed the first class, don’t worry—there are plenty more to come. We can’t wait to see you on the mat, and we look forward to all the amazing moments we’ll share together.
Stay tuned for more updates, and until then, keep practicing and spreading positivity!
